Best Used Goods

I love spending a Saturday afternoon wandering the aisles of the Rescued and ReStored store in support of Drummond House.     The store is located on Hwy 6 North (towards Guelph) in one of the JDJ Trailer warehouses.  
When I was setting up my home office for my Real Estate business, I got a great tall bookshelf/cabinet and tall filing cabinet from the store for about $35.     Recently, our church was looking for some storage shelves/cabinet, so my first place to go was R&R.    And I did!!!   Found a great tall unit for $20.    The best part of finding these great deals is knowing that all money given at R&R directly goes back to Drummond House to support their facilities/programs for assisting women in crisis (& their children) in need of temporary housing while they get their life together.

"Purpose of Rescued and Restored is to help fund the ongoing financial needs of Drummond House by opening a retail / warehouse style operation that will source and sell donated household items for a profit. All profits will then be funneled into the Drummond House operation.

Sourcing used household furniture/appliances will be accomplished by: donations from the community at large, faithful supporters and surrounding churches. Drummond House receives numerous offers of donations of quality used household items. Tax receipts can be offered for quality appraised items.

Selling the pre-owned furniture and other articles will be accomplished by obtaining suitable retail/warehouse style outlets within the immediate local community. Other options will include; placing free ads on Kijiji and Craigslist, utilizing Facebook, live and/or silent auctions and various seasonal promotions.
