Best Wellness Centre

I have been a client of Circle of Light Wellness Centre at 50 Mill Street North in Waterdown since they opened in 2008.    When you walk through the doors, you can't help but immediately feel at peace... the soothing music, the smell of incense and the quitet calm atmosphere that everyone who works there seems to create.

As soon as they opened in 2008, I went on-line to their website and began getting acquainted with the services they offer and more seem to be added every year.     http://www.circleoflightwellness.com/    I can't say enough for the skill, professionalism and friendliness of the staff.    I always feel so at home there.

Here's a little section from their website under the ABOUT US tab:
"Circle of Light Wellness Centre was founded with the purpose to support everyone, as they need it, on their journey. In addition to the website, you can also find Circle of Light on Facebook and Twitter @COLHealing.   I also subscribe to Kerri Fargo's Newsletter.    There's always great advice, recipes and promotion of upcoming events and classes.   Here's the link to her blog   http://circleoflightwellness.blogspot.com/2011/01/love-relationships.html   where you can access her newsletter for February... http://www.mynewsletterbuilder.com/email/newsletter/1410680363

Best Used Goods

I love spending a Saturday afternoon wandering the aisles of the Rescued and ReStored store in support of Drummond House.     The store is located on Hwy 6 North (towards Guelph) in one of the JDJ Trailer warehouses.
When I was setting up my home office for my Real Estate business, I got a great tall bookshelf/cabinet and tall filing cabinet from the store for about $35.     Recently, our church was looking for some storage shelves/cabinet, so my first place to go was R&R.    And I did!!!   Found a great tall unit for $20.    The best part of finding these great deals is knowing that all money given at R&R directly goes back to Drummond House to support their facilities/programs for assisting women in crisis (& their children) in need of temporary housing while they get their life together.

Please visit their website   http://www.rescuedandrestored.ca/   to find out more about this wonderful store.   Below is a portion of the ABOUT US page on their website...

"Purpose of Rescued and Restored is to help fund the ongoing financial needs of Drummond House by opening a retail / warehouse style operation that will source and sell donated household items for a profit. All profits will then be funneled into the Drummond House operation.

Sourcing
used household furniture/appliances will be accomplished by: donations from the community at large, faithful supporters and surrounding churches. Drummond House receives numerous offers of donations of quality used household items. Tax receipts can be offered for quality appraised items.

Selling
the pre-owned furniture and other articles will be accomplished by obtaining suitable retail/warehouse style outlets within the immediate local community. Other options will include; placing free ads on Kijiji and Craigslist, utilizing Facebook, live and/or silent auctions and various seasonal promotions.
Items we Need
    * Gently used furniture
    * Appliances in good working order
    * Antiques
    * Hard and soft cover books
    * Volunteers with a passion for serving those in need"

As if we need more reason to shop there, Rescued and ReStored is having a BIG WAREHOUSE SALE... everything is 50% OFF
Thursday Feb. 17th   10a - 5p
Friday Feb. 18th       10a - 5p
Sat. Feb. 19th           8a - 4p

I love this store and the amazing work that Drummond House does, so run... don't walk to Rescued and ReStored.

I love this town!

My friend suggested to me that I know the best place for everything so I am going to try to recommend to "Waterdownians" the best place to go for what you want/need!

I have to start with my very favourite place for lunch.... it has to be the Tea at the White House.  My favourite things to have are definately sharing the Devonshire Tea (pot of tea of your choice and 2 scones) and the Sweet & Sour Chicken Salad.     Here's a little snippet from their website...

"Tea At The White House is located in the heart of Waterdown, Ontario in a beautifully restored century home. Inside we offer an exclusive gift shop as well as two cozy tea rooms with seating for 26, and in the summer an outdoor deck.

The Tea Shop...
Our Tea Room guests are encouraged to sample one of our 110 varieties of loose tea including a wide range of black and green teas, flavoured teas, specialty blends and traditional and non-traditional herbal tisanes. We offer a "tea-licious" guarantee that allows you to try a variety of teas. If you don't like your choice, we offer a complimentary tea on the house.
Our Tea Room offers a small, select lunch menu with light, healthy choices as well as an exclusive Afternoon Tea Menu. Everything is made fresh daily using local produce, and changes with the season. Tea At The White House specialties include fresh baked scones served with double Devon cream and preserves, and an assortment of homemade desserts. "

Make a reservation to be sure you aren't disappointed as they are usually fully booked.
